Custom Trout Boat

My custom trout boat model was built for a special friend. When Chuck showed me the boat in an article in Wooden Boat, and said he'd love to build one some day, I said, "I'll build a model for you." In the full size version the custom cabinets, for gear, are removed for transport in the owner's utility trailer while the boat is carried atop his Jeep. A canvas cover for the boat serves as a tent for sleeping.
Construction is lap strake cedar with redwood highlights. The cabinets are pine and the lights and oar locks are from Bluejacket Shipcrafters. This boat is not in my regular production line.
